2026 ACJV update # 1

Happy New Year Everyone!

Sara and I enjoyed our holiday in the North Island. We enjoyed catching up with family and friends.

We were all deeply saddened by the death of our beloved Granny Di earlier this month. We continue to hold up the Sinclair and Brown family in our prayers.

A huge thankyou to Carl and Sharlene Pilkinton who led the services at Epiphany for three weeks in January. Also, a big thankyou to Miriam Taylor for taking the service at Ward on January 4th.

What's happening in Term 1?

I think that my leading for this year is to call our church to the fresh pastures and clean waters that Jesus, our good shepherd provides.

I pray that as we gather on Sundays to take part in worship that is responsive, reverent, anointed and beautiful we will be refreshed, fed and encouraged.

My first teaching series is called 'Equipped to Encourage'. In this series, I aim to provide tools to help us all become more skilled in encouraging one another.

In term 1 there will be an opportunity to learn the why and how of personal encouragement through some practical training called Six steps to Encouragement.

God Bless,

John
