2026 ACJV update #6

Hi everyone,

Families Ministry

We're enjoying having kids scampering about our services in Seddon. Raylene has been employed to support our kids and families. We are aiming to grow resilient faith in our young people. One of Raylene's initiatives is a 'bubble tea' meeting for some of our young women. Raylene is also facilitating a womens bible study on Monday's. Please contact her if you would like to attend.

Men's Breakfast

June 6th, 7:30 am  at the community hall. Cost $20. All profits will be donated to overseas mission work.

Upcoming Services

This Sunday: St. Oswald's: May 31st at 2 pm. (NZ Prayer Book Communion Service).

We gather to worship God at Epiphany in Seddon every Sunday at 10 am. 

Next service at St. Peter's, Ward: Sunday June 7 at 8 am. (Holy Communion).

Next service at St. George's: June 28th, 8 am. (Holy Communion).

Sunday Lunch at the Vicarage

There's a standing invitation to head over to the vicarage for lunch after church.

Bishop's Visit

Bishop Steve will be leading our service on July 26. 

Bishop Steve is our apostolic leader charged with defending the faith, preaching the good news and caring for us all. One of his 'jobs' is confirming people in the faith. When we are confirmed we renounce evil, and proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ. Then the Bishops prays for each person, asking the Holy Spirit to bring his gifts, fruit and power. If you would like to be confirmed, please contact me so that we can do some preparation.

This would also be a great day to be baptised. 

St. George's wall extension

The management team considered the very helpful feedback about the wall extension at St. Georges and has communicated with those who contacted us.
